The original music for TANDAVA are Ragas, dedicated to Bhairava. Bhairava is one of the thousand names of Shiva and every name is expressing another aspect of him. Bhairava is the nocturnal, hidden, secret and mysterious aspect of Shiva.
These Ragas are traditionally played between 3.00 – 5.00 in the morning – the most silent and contemplative time. They are very slow and intensive – just like TANDAVA. This music is very rare and difficult to find.
