The Tantras are the ancient mystical wisdom scriptures of ancient India, Tibet, Nepal, China and also Egypt.
We could call Tantra the mystical path of Hinduism and Buddhism, just as Sufism is the mystical path of Islam, Gnosticism is the mystical path of Christianity, and Kabbalah is the mystical path of Judaism. Mysticism has always preceded religion.
What religions have in common is that they want to suppress, even hate, the body, women, sexuality and beauty.
